  • This is a medium, which can be mixed into any acrylic paint to give it polishing capability. After it is dry, simply rub the dry film with a finger and it will polish the paint to a high sheen. Using a higher concentration of the medium, will cause the film to burnish better. Example: 60% medium to 40% acrylic, will burnish better than 20% medium to 80% acrylic. This product dries fairly quickly. Burnishing medium is great for any object in which the artist wants to create a varied sheen effect. For example, use this medium mixed 70% medium to approximately 30% Artist Acrylic or other acrylic art paint. Once dry, rub one edge of the object to create a glossy edge, which reflects more light or has a higher sheen than non-burnished portions of the object. This effect helpc create more dimension and strategic light reflection by varying the gloss.
